Hinged blockchain self folding
From apm
(Redirected from Hinge interlinked chains of blocks)
- A linear chain of blocks. (possibly foldamer bricks or other self-assemblies)
- Each block having reasonably high symmetry.
- Blocks are linked together on edges to form a series of hinges.
- the chain shall fold to a final desired shape a bit akin to protein folding but more constrained an predictable
- driving force for the folding may be thermally driven selfassembly or larger scale forces like electrostatics
- assembly process may or may not be reversible (a structure stiffening post assembly interlinking may be desirable)
- Pre-prodction of the blocks and the unfolded blockchain may be done though self assembly and or positional assembly
