Interfacial drives are a form of mechanical macroscopification. They are similar if not derived from infinitesimal bearings and integrate some chemomechanical converters or elekromechanical converters here and there in their structure. They are similar to Artificial motor-muscles but do shearing instead of expanding and contracting and don't change their volume.
