Molecule fragment
From apm
Moieties are the smallest building blocks handeded in advanced mechanosynthesis of thechnology level III and II. When simple resource molecules are gobbled up one always ends up with a few atoms on the tooltip at first. Afterwards it is generally not necessary to prepare it down until only one atom is left.
Except for hydrogen (and later maybe oxygen) in most cases one does not put down a single atom but a small (always bond) molecule (a moiety) with some bonds hydrogen capped and at least one open.
