This article is a stub. It needs to be expanded.

Basically the same as seamless covalent welding but
with one or multiple necks such that the connection can be broken apart again
with positional atomic precision remaining preserved.

Separation form a buildplate after the mechanosynthesis of
a crystolecule finished could employ this technique in reverse.

Too thick of a neck may obviously lead to
nondeterministic non flat non atomically precise cleavage planes.
This better too avoid.
