- nuclear fusion
- isotope separation (also for non radioactive isotopes)
- deep drilling for nuclear waste disposal (hiding?)
- usage in transmutation?
- decontamination (removal of highly dispersed radionucleotides deposited in complex solid materials - harder than removal of diluted atmospheric CO2)
