Boron nitrogen dative bond interfaces
From apm
This is about a connection mechanism where one
passivates surfaces with nitrogen and others complementary surfaced with boron, such
that on contact very strong dative bonds are formed. Almost like in seamless covalent welding.
Since the bonds are still weaker than C-C bonds this might be potentially reversible even for a full maximal surface bond coverage.
Checkerboard patterns should work too (if not better) since
they compensate a bit for different bond-lenths of boron and nitrogen.
