This list is in order as atoms pass from source to the final location in the product.
Zones are finer grained than assembly levels.
Zones have repetitions in different assembly levels which may differ quite a bit due to
different design constraints at different size-scales.
Ordered list of zones
- zones of pre-processing devices (mining & such)
Start of convergent assembly:
- Molecule sorting zone – or "molecule sortation zone"
- "Forced condensation to machine phase zone" – or condensing – (where molecules get caught into machine phase)
- Tooltip preparation zone – or preparating – (closed cycle)
- Zone of mechanosynthesis cores
- Crystolecule routing zone (redundant and past the "slowdown stack")
Next assembly level:
- Zone of crystolecule assembly robotics
- Microcomponent routing zone
- Zone of Microcomponent assembly robotics...
- Product fragment routing (ommitable)
Next assembly level:
- Product fragment assembly robotics
- ...
- Vacuum lockout zones
- Cleanroom lockout zones
- Thermal isolation barrier passage zones
