Rigging seems quite useful for managing and recomposing modular automation systems.
Peculiarly on the macroscale with gravity being relevant.
E.g. A large scale ReChain frame systems prototype could
be easily and quickly lifted up and out of the way too the ceiling of a room/hall with ropes.
If something jams / needs manual intervention it can be easily and quickly moved down.
Part of getting good with rigging is having some knowledge of a set of most practical knots.
For an compilation based on unusual approach by this wikis Author
see page: Knots
Well working rigging solutions seem to have some oddly satisfying quality/character to them.
Much like various ingenious mechanical mechanisms and machine elements employing various principles do too.
