Data compression is important in [[atomically precise manufacturing]] and the far term target of [[gemstone metamaterial technology]] because
storing the position of every single atom is unnecessary and rather infeasible for all but very small products.

There seems to be a link between data (de)compression and [[reversibel computing]]. Keywords: "[[retractile cascade]]s" "uncomputing".<br>
A simple problem/code can (reversible) blow up to very large amount of data, which, when taken/cut sufficiently out of context, can seem truly random. <br>

Global hidden variables in quantum mechanics and true quantum randomness may actually pseudo-random after all perhaps??<br>
Some hope for people who still don't want to give up on determinism yet.<br>
There's also the often overlooked option of agnosticism though preferring fundamental undecidability whether the universe is deterministic or not.
