This article defines a novel term (that is hopefully sensibly chosen). The term is introduced to make a concept more concrete and understand its interrelationship with other topics related to atomically precise manufacturing. For details go to the page: Neologism.
Here the technology levels are plotted to the left. Note that they are inseparably entangled with the switch form self-assembly to positional assembly. A qualitative and hard switch. The other axis shows scaling in hierarchical selfassembly or convergent assembly. Different name for same ting in positional assembly.

The technology levels are mainly an advancement in building material quality (stiffness).
But intermingled here is also a change of means of assembly and a transition into PPV vacuum.

Looking at the materials alone one has the building material capability levels.
Somewhat orthogonal to the building material capability levels are the assembly scale capability levels.
