Potential products along pathways to gemstone based APM

Products along pathways towards gemstone based APM would be beneficial for progress as they can provide means for funding.
Government based funding for fundamental research (not expecting immediate direct products) is an option too with different constraints.
Potential near and mid term products differ quite a bit for incremental path and direct path.
Direct path
Nanoscale
Tools for other research:
- better scanning probe microscopy tips
- nanoelectromechanical research toolkits
(ballistic e transport nanowires, AP transistors, exotic nanoelectronic effects, …)
Nano-Sensors:
- color centers (NV centers) for NMR
- nano-graphenen quantum dots for ???
- nano-pores for DNA sequencing
Quantum computation
- color centers for quantum computing (NV centers)

Microscale to mesoscale
- Diffraction gratings for neutral matter wave microscopy (different from icon microscopy)

Basic molecular sensors. sensing by binding.
Binding comes before catalytic manipulating as
binding is a sub-problem of catalytic action.
