Rock digestion chamber

An gem-gu-tec "digestion" chamber to dissolve various types of natural rock for further processing as molecular feedstock for gem-gum factories. This transfers elements from the lithosphere over liquid phase to the mechanosphere (or biosphere as fertilizer). The idea is to use hot lyes and acids. If the chambers inner walls are degrading from the harsh conditions inside then they needs to gradually renew themselves from protected behind.

This can be a sub-processing-step of mining overall once the material in chunks small enough for processing. Might still be done locally underground or after the material is brought up to the surface.

As this is natural material with quite random structure and many defects
going for atomically precise disassembly instead will be difficult.
