Many still remaining as ulterior motives to adulthood. 
But there are also early naive (partly unhealthy) [[obsession with power force and persistence]]. 

Later as that became more clear with increasing life experiences, motivations went a bit towards visions of 
'''using advanced APM technology to long term stably coexist with nature rather than dominating it'''.
