This is about a [[connection mechanism]] where one <br>
passivates surfaces with nitrogen and others complementary surfaced with boron, such <br>
that on contact very strong dative bonds are formed. Almost like in [[seamless covalent welding]].

Since the bonds are still weaker than C-C bonds this might be potentially reversible even for a full maximal surface bond coverage.

Checkerboard patterns should work too (if not better) since <br>
they compensate a bit for different bond-lenths of boron and nitrogen.
