A term "vitamin" is used in the space of RepRaps 3D printers
(RepRap … recplicating rapid prototyper) which are 3D printers that can do
- partial self-replication – replicating all parts except the vitamin parts
- dependently self replictaion – they can only make the parts not assemble them
– no in place printing of whole printers, no automated assembly on the second assembly level.
